Its rainy in Williamsburg today, so I've decided to head to a tropical island for the afternoon.  It's nice here, but something smells like bacon.

Today when I went to Wawa for a soda, Gilbert the Roman Pig decided to tag along.  Being an ancient Roman pig, he had never visited a modern Wawa before.  I got a diet coke.  Gilbert enjoyed an apple fritter, but I had to pay for Gilbert because Wawa wouldn't accept his Roman Denarius for payment.  (Their loss.)

When I returned from lunch, I found that Gilbert had invited his friend Barry the Space Cow over. They were apparently sharing an apple. Gilbert claims it has a metallic after taste.

So, this morning I found Gilbert the Roman Pig on my phone. I hope he wasn't calling his old Roman Legion buddies long distance all night. I do wonder how he managed to pick up that handset though. It's like five times his size.

This is Gilbert the Roman Pig (no disrespect to Romans ...or pigs). He lives on the corner of my computer monitor and serves as guardian of the all pixels he surveys. Gilbert thinks of them as "those surly colorful dots." I suspect he has other adventures when the display is in sleep mode, but sadly I'm never there to see them.
